ELECTRICIAN

A Building Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and safe operation of all electrical systems and equipment within buildings and construction sites. The Building Electrician shall ensure that all electrical works are carried out in accordance with the relevant safety regulations, electrical codes, company policies, and project specifications.

The Building Electrician is responsible for installing electrical wiring, conduits, cable trays, distribution boards, switches, socket outlets, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment required for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. He shall read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure that installations are completed accurately and efficiently.

The Building Electrician shall conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems to ensure their safe and reliable operation. He shall identify electrical faults, diagnose problems, and carry out necessary repairs or replacements to minimize downtime and prevent hazards. He shall also perform electrical testing and commissioning of newly installed systems and ensure that all equipment functions properly before handover.

The Building Electrician is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and complying with all workplace safety regulations. He shall use proper tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and immediately report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or defects to the supervisor. He shall ensure that electrical works do not pose any risk to workers, occupants, or property.

The Building Electrician shall coordinate with supervisors, engineers, contractors, and other trades to ensure that electrical works are completed according to project schedules and quality standards. He shall maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and materials used.

The Building Electrician must safeguard company tools, equipment, and materials against loss, damage, or misuse. He shall maintain good housekeeping at the workplace and ensure that all work areas are kept clean and organized.

The Building Electrician shall perform any other duties assigned by the Company or Management from time to time and shall always act in the best interests of the Company. He shall maintain professional conduct, honesty, and reliability and contribute to the successful completion of all projects and maintenance activities undertaken by the Company.
