Job Summary

The Engineering Assistant, Senior supports the Engineering / Manufacturing Support (Pre‑Assembly / Production) department by providing hands-on technical and engineering support to production and engineering teams to ensure stable and efficient operations. This role involves process and production data collection, support for engineering runs, investigations, qualification and validation activities, and maintenance of technical documentation. The incumbent must be analytical, proactive, eager to learn, and a strong team player, and be willing to work 12‑hour shift

Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support to production to ensure stable and efficient operations.

• Support the disposition and follow-up of on-hold production lots.

• Assist engineers with Engineering Runs, including process data collection, data analysis, and basic interpretation.

• Perform production and process data collection to support engineering analysis and improvement activities.

• Participate in qualification and validation activities for new tools, materials, and process changes.

• Support investigations related to process issues and customer returns, including implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

• Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation such as work instructions and process setup sheets.

• Conduct measurements and basic metrology checks in accordance with engineering instructions.

• Support root cause analysis activities using methodologies such as SPC, RCA, and 5‑Whys.

• Perform other engineering-related tasks as assigned to support manufacturing and process improvement
  

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related disciplines).
• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) for data collection and basic data analysis.
• Basic knowledge of statistical and problem-solving tools such as SPC, RCA, and 5‑Whys.
• Familiarity with measurement tools, basic metrology equipment, and microscopes.
• Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Good teamwork and communication skills; able to work effectively with engineers and production teams.
• Able and willing to work 12‑hour shifts.
