Equipment Engineer

is seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our new startup team in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our products meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance by monitoring and auditing all phases of the production process.

Equipment Engineer

A.Foundational Technical Competencies

·      Familiarity with the full premix production process: batching,feeding, mixing, screening, packaging, dust collection, pneumatic conveying,and storage – including the principles of all equipment involved.

·      Knowledge of common premix equipment structures: mixers,batching scales, batching systems, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, screeningmachines, pulse dust collectors, automatic packaging equipment, bins, valves,etc.

·      Working knowledge of mechanical drawing, component principles,drive structures (gearboxes, chains, belts, bearings, seals). Ability to readequipment assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC wiring diagrams.

·      Awareness of premix industry characteristics: design andmaintenance considerations for micro-ingredient batching, high-precisionweighing, cross-contamination prevention, and anti-caking measures.

B. EquipmentMaintenance and Troubleshooting

·      Implement daily patrol inspections, lubrication, and preventivemaintenance systems. Develop maintenance plans, records, and spare parts lists.

·      Quickly diagnose and resolve common faults:

·      Mechanical: blockages, abnormal noise, oil leakage, bearingdamage, powder leakage from mixers.

·      Batching: inaccurate weighing, excessive batching errors.

·      Conveying: screw jamming, bridging/arching in bins.

·      Perform equipment disassembly, repair, parts replacement, andprecision calibration to ensure batching accuracy and mixing uniformity.

·      Establish a fault database, analyze failure rates and downtime,and implement improvement measures to reduce faults.

C.Electrical, Automation and PLC Capabilities

·      Working knowledge of power distribution, inverters, sensors,proximity switches, weighing modules, and solenoid valve commissioning.

·      Proficiency in basic PLC operations, HMI, and SCADA systems.Ability to troubleshoot program logic and communication faults.

·      Familiarity with automatic batching control systems. Ability toassist automation personnel in parameter optimization and recipe dispensinglogic debugging.

·      Understanding of electrical wiring and safety. Ability toindependently handle low-voltage electrical faults.

D.Modification, Upgrade and Optimization Abilities

·      Develop and implement equipment layout, production linemodifications, and capacity improvement plans.

·      Make technical modifications to address cross-contamination,dust leakage, high energy consumption, and manual-intensive processes.

·      Select new equipment, define technical specifications, oversee installation,commissioning, acceptance, and handover for production.

·      Optimise equipment energy consumption, reduce spare parts usageand downtime, and achieve cost savings and efficiency gains.

Requirements:

· Diploma or higher in a related field.

· At least 5 years of working experience in a similar role with proven experience.

· Good command of both verbal and written English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking business associates.

· Able to start immediately or with a short notice period preferred.
