EV Battery Operations Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated EV Battery Service Technician cum Operations Supervisor to oversee the technical servicing of electric vehicle (EV) battery systems while supervising daily workshop operations. The successful candidate will ensure that battery diagnostics, repairs, testing, and maintenance are carried out safely and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, testing, maintenance, repair, refurbishment, and replacement of EV battery packs and Battery Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal battery performance
• Conduct battery health assessments, charging and discharging tests, insulation resistance tests, and performance evaluations using appropriate diagnostic equipment to identify issues and verify functionality
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults in EV battery systems and recommend suitable corrective actions to restore system reliability
• Carry out preventive maintenance following manufacturer specifications and company procedures to reduce downtime and extend battery life
• Supervise daily workshop and operational activities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule
• Allocate work assignments, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance to technicians and operational staff to maintain high productivity and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, electrical safety requirements, and company safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, testing documentation, and inventory records for operational transparency and audit readiness
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and service partners regarding technical matters, warranty claims, and operational requirements to facilitate smooth service delivery
• Monitor inventory levels of batteries, spare parts, tools, and workshop equipment and arrange timely replenishment to support uninterrupted operations
• Assist management in developing operational procedures, improving workflow efficiency, and implementing quality control measures to enhance service standards
• Support customer enquiries by providing technical advice and after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction
• Train and mentor junior technicians on technical skills, safe work practices, and company procedures to build team capability
• Perform other technical and operational duties assigned by management to support business needs

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with EV battery repair, refurbishment, testing, or replacement
• Familiarity with workshop management systems and inventory control
• Knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements
• Experience handling customer technical support and after-sales service
