Executive/Senior Executive (Engineering Inventory Management)

As an Executive/Senior Executive (Engineering Inventory Management), you will ensure the effective management of engineering spares by maintaining accurate system records, optimising inventory levels, and supporting operations through timely coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, real-time records of engineering spares, components and materials using asset management and enterprise systems like Oracle or similar ERP tools.

• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock-outs of critical maintenance items while minimising excess or obsolete stock.

• Raise purchase requests, track order status and liaise with vendors/procurement teams using enterprise software and other platforms to ensure timely delivery of necessary supplies.

• Organise and maintain the Engineering inventory store, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and handling of spares, components and materials.

• Conduct regular physical stock checks and cycle counts, reconciling them with system records and other data sources to investigate discrepancies.

• Ensure all inventory activities comply with governance standards as well as safety regulations and company policies.

• Coordinate with Engineering managers to plan and prepare spares, components and material requirements for preventive maintenance programs and corrective maintenance activities.

• Lead the Engineering inventory store team and take charge of day-to-day operations for the inventory store.

• Partner Engineering, Procurement and Finance managers to identify opportunities for process reviews and carry out required improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in engineering, engineering procurement or engineering supply chain or equivalent;

• 2 to 3 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing or engineering procurement preferably in an industrial, engineering or marine environment;

• Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel); and

• Strong ability to analyse inventory data, identify consumption trends and optimise ordering and stocking.
