The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues to ensure optimal system performance and minimal downtime. The role involves managing after-sales service activities, including installation support, system commissioning, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
The engineer will serve as the frontline technical representative, working closely with customers to understand their requirements, provide effective solutions, and maintain strong customer relationships while representing the company's technical capabilities.
Key responsibilities
Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues to ensure system uptime and reliability.
Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance for company products and solutions.
Attend to customer service requests promptly and ensure issues are resolved within the required service level expectations.
Serve as the main technical point of contact for customers, providing professional support, understanding their concerns, and delivering effective solutions.
Conduct system inspections, testing, and fault analysis, including identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
Prepare detailed service reports documenting issues encountered, solutions implemented, and recommendations for system improvements.
Collaborate closely with internal engineering and technical teams to resolve complex technical challenges and improve service quality.
Support project activities including Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), system commissioning, and customer handovers.
Ensure all field service activities comply with safety procedures, technical standards, and customer requirements.
Gather feedback from customer sites and provide insights to internal teams to enhance product performance and reliability.
Support regional service operations, including travel to customer sites locally and overseas when required.
Requirement
Minimum Diploma in EEE or Mechanical Engineering or relevant Engineering experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Field Service Engineer or relevant experience
Class 2B or 3/3A license required
Strong technical knowledge of power generation and distribution systems, including generators, transformers, and switchgear
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Willingness to travel to client sites (local/overseas) as required
