Field Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of vacuum systems and related industrial equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out equipment inspections, servicing and repairs to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
• Perform system setup, configuration and basic software support, including fault diagnosis and issue resolution.
• Follow established work procedures, safety guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the relevant engineering team when required.
• Prepare accurate service reports and maintain proper documentation of service activities.
• Build strong working relationships with customers by providing timely technical support and quality service.
• Participate in standby duties or shift work to support operational and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma, Higher NITEC or NITEC in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in field service, equipment maintenance, technical support or a related engineering environment.
• Experience with vacuum systems, semiconductor equipment or other industrial equipment will be an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and support standby or shift duties when required.
