Fire Engineer

Job Summary

Design and manage fire protection system drawings and approvals, ensuring compliance with Singapore fire safety codes. Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to resolve regulatory comments and oversee renovation project progress effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design fire system drawings and submit plans through the SCDF online portal to obtain full approval
• Communicate and coordinate with SCDF and other parties to address and resolve comments on submitted drawings
• Revise fire system drawings based on feedback and resubmit for approval
• Apply knowledge of Singapore fire safety codes and standards to ensure compliance of fire alarm, sprinkler, hydrant, smoke control, gas suppression, fire-rated doors, extinguishers, and other fire protection systems
• Manage and control construction progress of renovation projects to meet regulatory and project requirements
• Liaise effectively with property management, renovation contractors, project owners, and Registered Inspectors (RI) to facilitate smooth project execution

Required competencies and certifications

• Hold a valid QP qualification certificate (as mandated for submitting fire system plans to SCDF)
