Job Description - Full-Stack .NET Developer - Shipping Platform

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack.NET Developer to maintain and enhance a web-based ship management system.This platform handles workflows including vessel certificates generation and billing operations.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Application Maintenance & Support: Maintain and troubleshoot a production ASP.NET Core Razor Pages application built on .NET 9
  2. Feature Development: Design and implement new features including enhancements to vessel registration workflows, certificate generation, invoicing, and reporting systems
  3. Database Management: Work with PostgreSQL databases, write efficient queries, and optimize database performance
  4. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code following established patterns and conduct code reviews
  5. System Integration: Integrate with third-party APIs and external services
  6. Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure data protection standards are met
  7. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for features and system processes


Required Technical Skills

Backend:

1.      Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core/.NET 9

2.      Experience with ASP.NET Core Razor Pages (preferred) or MVC

3.      Solid understanding of Entity Framework Core with PostgreSQL

4.      Knowledge of ASP.NET Core Identity and authentication/authorization

5.      RESTful API development and integration

Frontend:

6.      JavaScript,HTML5, CSS3

7.      jQuery and modern JavaScript frameworks

8.      Experience with responsive web design

9.      Understanding of PDF generation libraries (e.g., Rotativa, NReco)

Database:

10.  PostgreSQL database design and optimization

11.  Writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures

12.  Database migration strategies

DevOps & Tools:

13.  Git version control with branching strategies (GitFlow)


Professional Requirements

  1. Experience: Possesses experience in full-stack .NET development
  2. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills
  3. Communication: Clear written and verbal communication for documentation
  4. Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  5. Code Review: Comfortable with peer code reviews and following pull request workflows
  6. Independent Work: Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively


Development Environment

  1. Framework: .NET 9 with ASP.NET Core Razor Pages
  2. Database: PostgreSQL with Entity Framework Core
  3. Version Control: Git with structured branching (dev → staging → main)
  4. IDE: Visual Studio 2022
  5. Workflow: Pull request-based development with code reviews
  6. Testing: Testing: Experience with xUnit for unit testing and Selenium for UI testing. Ability to expand test coverage for services and business logic
