Title: Head of Manufacturing Engineering (Semiconductor Solutions)

About the Role

Our client is a global MNC in the precision engineering and semiconductor solutions sector.

They are currently looking to hire a Head of Manufacturing Engineering in Singapore.

This role will support New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) across highly complex, advanced manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will lead engineering execution from concept development through production ramp-up, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, quality, and operational excellence

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end engineering execution for NPI and NPD programs, from concept through industrialisation and production ramp-up
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams
• Translate OEM customer requirements into scalable, manufacturable, and high-reliability engineering solutions
• Establish and strengthen Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Reliability (DFR) frameworks
• Oversee prototyping, validation, testing, qualification, and engineering transfer of precision subsystems and components
• Drive cost optimisation initiatives for existing product lines, including cost modelling, tooling strategy, and process improvements
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, cycle time, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering organisation with strong technical and execution capabilities
• Partner closely with global OEM customers on technical reviews, project execution, and engineering solutions

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Process Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven leadership experience within precision engineering, semiconductor equipment(frontend/backend), or related High mix , low volume manufacturing environments
• Strong track record leading complex NPI/NPD programs
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering transfer, process validation, and production ramp-up in high-specification environments
• Experience working with global OEM customers in highly technical B2B manufacturing settings
• Strong stakeholder management, program leadership, and cross-functional influencing capabilities
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, quality-critical, precision manufacturing environments
