Job Description – Sales Engineer (Distributor & Technical Sales Support)

Role Summary

The Sales Engineer supports sales activities by providing technical expertise and managing distributor enquiries for Israel, Australia, and South Africa. The role contributes to overall team sales targets through opportunity development,technical support, quotation preparation, and efficient communication with partners and customers.

The position also provides service support to local service engineers and works collaboratively with the sales team to achieve business objectives. Travel within Singapore,Johor Bahru, Batam, and other regions may be required to support customer and business needs.

1. Distributor & International Enquiry Management

• Serve as the primary technical and commercial support for distributors.
• Respond to RFQs promptly with accurate product selection, technical validation, and quotation preparation.
• Provide continuous technical support to distributor sales teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with distributors and ensure smooth communication.

2. Sales Support & Opportunity Development

• Identify opportunities, build sales pipelines, and support commercial proposals.
• Support customer visits, online meetings, technical discussions, and ROI studies.

3. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain records of enquiries, quotations, and project timelines.
• Prepare monthly updates on key opportunities and sales progress.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of required reports and documentation.

4. After-Sales Technical Coordination

• Support service teams with technical information for installation and troubleshooting activities.
• Follow up post-delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist in developing case studies from successful projects.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in technical sales or sales support preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to prepare technical and commercial quotations.
• Willing to travel as required for business operations.
• Team player with good coordination and problem-solving skills.
