We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Engineer (Data Centre Critical Facilities) to oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of mission-critical infrastructure across multiple data centre locations. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in UPS systems, CRAC units, and related building services while providing leadership to technical teams and ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UPS systems, CRAC units, and other critical facility infrastructure across multiple data centre sites.
Lead, supervise, and provide technical guidance to a team of engineers and technicians to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and critical service requests to minimize operational downtime.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for rectification works, maintenance activities, and ad-hoc projects while ensuring quality and compliance.
Monitor maintenance schedules, follow up on outstanding actions, and maintain accurate maintenance records, checklists, reports, and documentation.
Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions for equipment failures and operational issues.
Participate in standby duty on a 24 x 7 rotational basis to support emergency operations.
Review and ensure compliance with Risk Assessments (RA), Method of Statements (MOS), and workplace safety requirements.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and statutory safety regulations.
Liaise effectively with clients, internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth facility operations.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Data Centre or Critical Facility Operations.
Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting:
UPS Systems
CRAC Units
Building Monitoring Systems (BMS)
Critical Mechanical & Electrical Infrastructure
Proven experience leading technical teams and coordinating contractors and vendors.
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and critical facility operations.
Good knowledge of Risk Assessments (RA), Method Statements (MOS), and workplace safety practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking/reporting systems.
Able to work across multiple sites and respond to emergency service requests when required.
Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence (preferred for operational site travel).
Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Willing to participate in 24 x 7 standby support on a rotational basis.
