Laser Cutting & Bending Machinist

Key Responsibilities

1. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to perform laser cutting and bending operations accurately.
2. Operate, set up, and program laser cutting machines to produce workpieces according to required specifications.
3. Perform machine setup, tooling preparation, and programming for punching operations based on engineering drawings.
4. Operate and program bending machines to achieve required dimensions and quality standards.
5. Troubleshoot dimensional and quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
6. Carry out deburring, polishing, and finishing processes to ensure completed workpieces meet quality requirements.
7. Conduct routine machine checks and basic maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and minimize downtime.
8. Assist in other production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Quality, Safety & Housekeeping

1. Maintain laser cutting and bending machines in good working condition and ensure proper housekeeping practices in accordance with 6S standards.
2. Ensure all machining, bending, deburring, and polishing activities are carried out in accordance with company quality procedures and best practices.
3. Perform self-inspection of completed work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
4. Comply with all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
5. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and report any equipment or safety concerns promptly.
