Maintenance Engineer (Vehicle) #HAC

Job Scope:

System O&M & Troubleshooting

• Maintain and rectify faults across critical rolling stock and onboard subsystems:
• Traction & Propulsion: Maintain and troubleshoot VVVF Inverters, Traction Motors, and Auxiliary Power Supplies (APS).
• Safety & Braking: Oversee Pneumatic/Hydraulic braking systems, Parking Brakes, and Door Control Units (DCU) to ensure fail-safe operation.
• Mechanical Systems: Inspect and rectify issues within Bogies, Couplers, Suspension (Air Springs), and Current Collectors (Third Rail/Pantograph) and interior/exterior parts (Door, Window, Seats, Air conditioner, Signage, and communication Devices, etc.)

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Prepare and review preventive maintenance schedules, overhaul procedures, and technical checklists.
• Ensure strict adherence to technical specifications, ISO quality standards, and regional rail safety regulations.
• Conduct deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on vehicle defects to improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).

Material & Time Management

• Asset Management: Oversee material controlling to ensure the availability of long-lead critical spares and consumables.
• Operational Windows: Execute heavy maintenance and overhauls within strict engineering hours to ensure maximum fleet availability for peak service.
• Incident Response: Lead rapid-response teams during "Vehicle On Line" failures to minimize service disruptions.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Internal: Liaise with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Design Offices, Project Managers, and workshop technicians.
• External: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the CAG, external auditors, and component vendors.

Requirement:

• Min Diploma in Engineering or any relevant discipline
• Able to commerce work immediately
