M&E Technician

Job Summary

You will service, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the hotel to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment including fan coil units, air handling units, fire equipment, plumbing, laundry, guestroom technical systems and other hotel technical equipment
• Execute planned maintenance programs to ensure timely servicing of equipment
• Record and monitor temperatures and pressures of air conditioning chillers, freezers and cold rooms daily including updating temperature recording charts
• Inspect mechanical and electrical systems and control circuits to ensure proper functioning
• Support other technicians by assisting with workload management
• Perform assigned fire fighter duties during emergencies to ensure safety
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in workshop areas, plant rooms and machinery rooms
• Fulfill shift duties including rotating shifts, split shifts and additional tasks as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Ability to work rotating shifts and on weekends/public holidays
• Analytical and problem-solving skills applied to diagnosing and resolving equipment issues
