Over the longer-term, Transcelestial aims to develop a constellation of small satellites positioned in Low Earth Orbit, allowing their laser network to not only beam across cities but upwards to connect continents across the world too.

Manufacturing Technician

The Manufacturing Technician works within our manufacturing team and collaborates with the CENTAURI software and hardware engineering teams to ensure that quality and throughput are maintained in device production and that quality and production metrics are captured and analysed. The Manufacturing team is led by Max Wisten (https://www.linkedin.com/in/max-wisten/), Transcelestial’s Head of Hardware Engineering. This position reports to Max and will be responsible for providing support to meet production output targets and continuous smooth running of manufacturing operations.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will:

• Actively participate in the manufacturing of the Transcelestial Centauri series of products, our ground-breaking terrestrial laser communications solution.
• Improve overall manufacturing processes and schedules.
• Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on the manufacturing line.
• Ensure the production yield and targets are achieved.

What you will bring:

• 0-2 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic proficiency in data entry and using spreadsheets (i.e. Google sheets, MS Excel).
• Hands-on skills in product assembly.

It is a bonus if you:

• Have a diploma or higher qualifications in an Engineering discipline like hardware / optics / electronics
