Marine Service Engineer (Engine)

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repair work on marine engines 
• Diagnose mechanical and performance issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques
• Perform engine overhauls, including disassembly, parts replacement, and reassembly
• Conduct on-site servicing visits at customer locations as well as in-workshop repairs
• Inspect and test engines after servicing to confirm proper functionality and performance standards
• Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and parts usage reports using internal CRM or service management systems
• Advise customers on engine care, preventive maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting tips
• Source, order, and manage spare parts and inventory required for servicing jobs
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with workplace safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications
• Support senior engineers or supervisors on more complex repair jobs and provide guidance to junior technicians where needed

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Min 2 years of experience servicing or repairing marine engines
• Good knowledge of engine mechanics, fuel systems and ignition systems, with the ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and hand or power tools for engine repair work
• Good communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
