Material Management Manager (Railway)

Our client is a leading transportation and infrastructure operator supporting a large-scale rail network. As part of its continued investment in operational excellence and asset reliability, they are seeking a Material Management Manager to oversee the procurement, inventory and logistics functions supporting maintenance and operational activities.

This role will be responsible for ensuring the availability of critical spare parts, materials, tools and services required to support daily operations. Working closely with engineering, maintenance and operational teams, you will manage supplier relationships, inventory planning, warehousing activities and procurement processes to ensure materials are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.

You will also play a key role in driving inventory accuracy, supplier performance, materials lifecycle management and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function. The successful candidate will have experience in procurement, materials management, inventory control or logistics within an asset-intensive environment such as transportation, manufacturing, engineering, utilities or infrastructure.

To be successful in this role, you should possess a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline, together with relevant experience managing materials, procurement and inventory operations. Strong stakeholder management, planning and organizational skills will be highly valued.
