About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of camera-based and sensor-integrated products. The successful candidate will be involved in product design, prototyping, testing, and engineering improvements while working closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and enclosures for camera and sensor-based products.

• Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks.

• Participate in product development from concept design through prototyping, testing, and mass production.

• Work closely with electronics, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration.

• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and engineering calculations to optimize product performance and reliability.

• Support prototype assembly, validation testing, and troubleshooting activities.

• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers on fabrication, tooling, and production requirements.

• Implement design improvements based on testing results, customer feedback, and operational requirements.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and engineering reports.
  

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline.

• Experience in mechanical/product design and development.

• Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and detailed design work.

• Knowledge of camera systems, sensors, IoT devices, embedded hardware, or smart products will be advantageous.

• Familiar with design for manufacturing (DFM), prototyping, and product testing processes.

• Hands-on experience with sheet metal, plastics, machined parts, or electromechanical assemblies is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

• Candidates with experience in surveillance systems, automotive vision systems, robotics, AI cameras, or industrial IoT solutions are encouraged to apply.
