Mechanical Engineer – Trailer Design & Engineering

About Us

We are a leading player in the transportation industry with decades of expertise in trailer manufacturing, repairs, and maintenance. We build heavy-duty, high-performance trailers for clients across Singapore and the region. We’re expanding our engineering team and are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who wants to design trailers that go the distance.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the design, development, and integration of trailer systems and components. You’ll work end-to-end – from concept and CAD, to fabrication, testing, and continuous improvement – to ensure our trailers meet client, budget, and performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Innovate: Develop and modify trailer models to improve features, performance, safety, and aerodynamics
• Engineer for Strength: Enhance structural integrity, load capacity, and weight optimization
• Production Support: Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to improve efficiency, quality, and manufacturability
• Testing & Compliance: Implement and oversee testing procedures to meet LTA, industry standards, and client specifications
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals using AutoCAD Process Improvement: Analyse manufacturing processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
• Project Work: Support ad-hoc engineering projects as assigned by Management
  

Requirements

• Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field
• Experience: Min. 2 years in trailer, automotive, heavy vehicle, or manufacturing engineering
• Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD. Knowledge of SolidWorks/3D CAD is an advantage
• Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a drive for practical, innovative solutions
• Team Fit: Good communication skills and ability to work closely with workshop, production, and management teams
