Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary 

We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to lead and support the assembly, integration, testing, and continuous improvement of semiconductor gas delivery systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of gas boxes and gas panels, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and support new product introduction (NPI) through volume production. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and support gas box build activities, including mechanical assembly, system integration, and final testing.  

• Interpret and review engineering drawings, P&IDs, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) provided by customers.  

• Validate the selection of components such as valves, regulators, fittings, MFCs, sensors, and related hardware for compatibility and performance.  

• Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot assembly, leak testing, and system performance issues.  

• Design and develop jigs and fixtures to support semi-automated and fully automated gas box testing.  

• Serve as the technical focal point for customer build projects and engineering discussions.  

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) builds and ensure smooth transition into volume manufacturing.  

• Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including BOMs, work instructions, engineering change orders (ECOs), and technical reports.  

• Manage supplier technical issues, component qualification, and vendor collaboration.  

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions for product or process issues.  

• Provide hands-on support during assembly, debugging, testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and customer qualification.  

• Mentor and train technicians on gas system assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and best engineering practices.
