Mechanical Engineer [Building Facilities]

Job Summary

Support the design, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems for smart building projects, performing simulations, troubleshooting, and coordinating with teams to ensure compliance and project success.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment for smart building and facility-related projects to meet project specifications and quality standards
• Perform FEA and CFD simulations to evaluate fire safety products and building facility performance, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance
• Prepare technical drawings, documentation, and engineering reports to support project development and decision-making
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical and electrical (M&E) and fire protection systems to ensure operational reliability and safety
• Collaborate with senior engineers to plan projects, estimate costs, and schedule activities for efficient project delivery
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and quality standards to maintain workplace safety and legal compliance
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve issues promptly
• Participate in site inspections, testing, and audits to verify project progress and adherence to standards

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with CAD, FEA, CFD, or related engineering software to support design and simulation tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve engineering challenges
• Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
