Metallurgy Engineer

Our client is a well-established manufacturing MNC specializing in precision engineering and advanced metal component solutions for various industries, including medical, automotive, and industrial applications. Due to their current expansion plans, they are looking for a Metallurgy Engineer to join their engineering team. They are located in the (West) – easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

• Manage engineering and product development projects from initiation through production transfer, ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
• Act as the primary point of contact between customers and internal teams, coordinating project requirements and updates.
• Oversee tooling development activities and collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, and quality departments to support project execution.
• Evaluate component designs and material specifications, providing manufacturability assessments for Metal Injection Molding (MIM) processes.
• Support material selection and development activities, including collaboration with suppliers on metal powders and feedstock formulations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize metallurgical processes such as debinding, sintering, and MIM parameters to achieve product quality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, material qualification, testing methodologies, and productivity enhancements.
