Motion Control Engineer (R&D)

Main Responsibilities

1. Design and develop advanced control algorithms for high-precision manufacturing equipment, including motion, servo, thermal, and force control systems.
2. Lead open-loop and closed-loop vibration analysis for ultra-precision equipment and modules, collaborating with mechanical design teams to evaluate and predict vibration characteristics.
3. Develop and implement passive, active, and semi-active vibration control strategies to improve equipment precision, stability, and overall performance.
4. Design, develop, validate, and optimize control systems, including hardware, software, firmware, sensors, instrumentation, and electrical/electronic components.
5. Conduct system-level testing, validation, and performance analysis, using experimental data to optimize control strategies and continuously improve equipment design.
6. Provide technical support to equipment development and manufacturing teams by troubleshooting control system issues and enhancing system stability, reliability, and performance.
7. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, simulation, process engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless equipment integration, commissioning, and production readiness.

Qualifications

1. Master's degree or above in Automation, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Strong foundation in control theory, kinematics, system dynamics, and simulation, with experience developing algorithms using both classical (e.g., PID) and modern control methods.
3. Hands-on experience in motion control and servo system development, including system design, tuning, and debugging, with proficiency in hardware such as motion controllers and servo drives, and software such as MATLAB and Python.
4. Solid understanding of mechatronic systems, particularly mechanical dynamics, vibration analysis, and vibration control, with experience in experimental testing and data analysis.
5. Proficient in at least one programming language, such as C, C++, or C#.
6. Strong analytical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to work effectively in a bilingual and cross-cultural environment.
