Operations Manager, ACMV

The Operations Manager (ACMV) is responsible for leading and managing the overall operations, maintenance and performance of ACMV systems across assigned sites and projects. The role oversees operational planning, team management, client engagement, preventive maintenance programmes, and Addition & Alteration (A&A) works to ensure efficient, reliable and compliant ACMV operations in accordance with organisational and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily ACMV operations, maintenance activities and service delivery across assigned sites
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programmes for ACMV systems and equipment
• Manage operational planning, manpower deployment and resource allocation to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor ACMV system performance and implement improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
• Oversee ACMV upgrading, retrofitting and Addition & Alteration (A&A) works, including project coordination and execution
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders on operational and technical matters
• Review technical reports, maintenance records, incident investigations and operational documentation
• Manage contractors and service providers to ensure quality, safety and compliance with contractual requirements
• Support budgeting, cost control, procurement and operational reporting activities
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), Environmental Management System (EMS) and statutory regulations
• Lead emergency response and recovery activities relating to ACMV systems and critical building operations
• Provide leadership, guidance and training to engineers, technicians and site teams

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in ACMV operations, facilities management or building services
• Experience managing ACMV maintenance operations, A&A works and technical teams
• Strong knowledge of ACMV systems, chiller plant operations, BMS and maintenance best practices
• Familiar with local codes, regulations and WSH requirements
• Good leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment
