Power Electronics Engineer (Junior / Early‑Career Up to 3 Years Experience)

Job Summary

LITEON is seeking motivated and curious Junior Power Electronics Engineers to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for engineers with up to 3 years of experience who are eager to develop strong practical skills in power converter design, simulation, and testing, particularly for AI data centre server power supplies and advanced power systems.

You will work alongside experienced engineers in a supportive environment, gaining hands‑on exposure to real product development while building a solid foundation for long‑term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

(Scope and complexity adjusted based on experience level, with guidance and mentorship provided)

• Assist in the design and development of power converters such as AC/DC and DC/DC (e.g. Totem‑pole PFC, Vienna Rectifier, LLC, Buck, Boost, Flyback, SR)
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and modelling using tools such as LTspice, PSIM, Mathcad, or equivalent
• Support component selection and evaluation, including Si / SiC / GaN devices, magnetics, and passive components
• Assist with control algorithm development and implementation on embedded platforms
• Participate in thermal, EMI/EMC testing and analysis, with exposure to relevant standards
• Support prototyping, debugging, testing, and validation activities in the lab
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams (hardware, firmware, mechanical)
• Prepare design documentation, test procedures, and test reports

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably specialising in Power Electronics
  OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2–3 years of relevant industry experience
  OR
• Fresh Bachelor’s graduates must demonstrate 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in a power electronics laboratory, gained through:
  - University research labs
  - Final year / capstone projects
  - Research assistantships or long‑term internships

Additional requirements:

• Good understanding of power electronics fundamentals and circuit theory
• Exposure to power converter topologies and simulation tools
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems or digital control is an advantage
• Strong willingness to learn, hands‑on attitude, and good communication skills

Preferred

• Hands‑on experience in power electronics lab work, academic research projects, or internships
• Basic familiarity with GaN / SiC devices, or strong interest in learning wide‑bandgap technologies
• Awareness of thermal design, EMI/EMC, or reliability considerations
• Introductory exposure to embedded systems or digital control concepts
• Exposure to schematic capture or PCB layout review (hands‑on experience not required)
• Basic scripting or data analysis experience (e.g. Python or MATLAB)
• Strong curiosity, proactive learning attitude, and willingness to take on technical challenges
