Job Description

• Position Title: Precast Structural Design Engineer
• Working Location: Tuas
• Working Hours: 5 days, (Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + VB
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, erection drawings, and reinforcement details for precast concrete components such as beams, columns, wall panels, slabs, and staircases.
• Revise and improve designs based on project requirements, production capabilities, and site conditions.
• Ensure all drawings meet relevant design codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and main contractors to resolve design issues.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing and installation.
• Attend design coordination meetings and respond to technical queries.
• Perform structural calculations for load capacity, reinforcement requirements, and the stability of precast components.
• Review alternative design solutions to improve cost efficiency and work processes.
• Use structural analysis software to check and verify designs.
• Ensure all designs meet safety regulations, industry standards, and company quality procedures.
• Review and approve final drawings before releasing them for production.
• Conduct site visits when required to check installation work and ensure it follows the approved design.
• Any ad hoc duties assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in precast design or structural engineering.
• Proficient in ETABS, Prokon, and other structural analysis software.
• Good knowledge of relevant structural design codes.
• Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills when working with multidisciplinary teams.
