Procurement Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) - Global role

• Active involvement in Business Development for the procurement (product development) of customized specialized parts/ components for collectible series

Job Description

A growing company specialized in collectible series is looking for Procurement Engineer (product development) to join the team dealing with purchasing of OEM products

• Understand clients’ requirement – study blue print, obtain models and photos

• Collect videos of the dynamic features

• Work with 2D & 3D creative freelance and sound engineers

• Supply all necessary materials to the vendor/factory to proceed with 3D creation and reverse-engineering

• Integrate regulation and safety constraints in the product design

• Evaluate the mechanics, the electronics and software solutions selected by the factory

• Verify the BOM list

• Check the 3D files (STEP, STL, OBJ, …), prototypes, mold layout and coordinate changes

• Check the samples (preproduction, and production), and suggest improvements when needed

• Assist in the verification of the QC inspection reports

• Build good rapport with clients

• Need to travel overseas to visit factories in China when necessary

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)

• Relevant experience as an Engineer in the development of consumer products

• Proficient in Excel spreadsheets as well as 3D files (STL, OBJ, STEP)

• Some experience handling the China market/ Chinese suppliers is advantageous.

• Able to liaise between clients and vendors

• Able to work independently and multitask

• Well organized and able to manage project timeline, deliveries
