Product Owner, SMAI, FE Cost

As Product Owner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will report to the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization. The team defines, drives and delivers end to end smart manufacturing solution, integrated across functions of the business. The team will apply industry-leading best methodologies in automation, AI and machine learning to enhance Micron’s product development, business and administrative processes across the company.

Responsibilities and Tasks

You will work with a team of Data Scientist and Data Engineers, making an important contribution to the design, analysis, and implementation of data science solutions and business improvement ideas. You will also work closely with key partnering organizations to ensure positive impact and sustainable results. In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Data Engineers & Data Scientists to deliver projects that require the coordination and support of resources from global teams

• Work closely with stakeholders including Engineering team, Procurement team, Central Cost Team, Site Cost teams and Program Management team to identify and implement end-to-end AI-based solution for identification of cost opportunities and value capture

• Quantify, track, and monitor financial/operational impact of solutions to the business

• Identify new use-cases and best practices across strategic and operational procurement processes

• Develop business case, including impact validation approach, ROI of potential solutions and prioritize & propose projects for implementation

• Ability to think critically and break down complex data/processes to identify key levers and applicable solutions

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of work experience in Cost projects and Cost initiatives within Operations functions
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in related areas (e.g., Engineering, Business, etc). Masters degree preferred
• Familiar with processes, systems and solutions preferably in the semiconductor industry
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to effectively lead and present to small and large groups
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work multi-functionally with peers, senior and mid-level management
• Peer leadership and relationship management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

As a Smart Manufacturing Product Owner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will enable new frontier technology for Smart manufacturing to define, drive and deliver end to end smart manufacturing solution, integrated across functions of the business. The team will look into applying industry-leading methodologies in automation, AI and machine learning to enhance Micron’s product development, business and administrative processes across the company. Responsibilities and Tasks: Partner with partnering organizations to drive AI transformation in Micron, enabling new insights and innovative solutions for Technology acceleration. Conceptualize, Prototype and productize innovative solutions using artificial intelligence, big data to improve/revolutionize Micron manufacturing performance in product yield, quality, test coverage and system level performance. Participate/Lead End-to-End project teams comprising of Data Scientists, Product owners, Solution Architects & Data Engineers. Provide domain insights into available data, identify gaps in existing data set, collaborate with data scientists to apply various AI techniques in providing technical solutions. Be the expert in Micron data sources, translate project requirements to specific available data sources, specify new requirements to Data Architects and Data Engr in Technical solutions team. Work with solution end users to analyze related information to design & define requirements. Provide expert functional and process guidance on system interface and capabilities. Develop business case, including impact validation approach, ROI of potential solutions, propose & prioritize projects for implementation.
