Job Description - PRODUCTION ANALYST

RESPONSIBILITY
To support the Production Department by consolidating and analysing daily production data to drive informed decision-making. Responsible for overseeing maintenance coordination and championing the deployment of the Integrated Work System (IWS) across the shopfloor. To uphold data integrity and operational standards in line with established policies, procedures, and customer requirements.

  • Daily Data Consolidation: Collect, compile and validate production data from all shopfloor lines on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records including output, yield, downtime, and waste.
  • Production Data Analysis: Analyse production trends, identify performance gaps, root causes of inefficiencies, and present data-driven insights and recommendations to the Factory Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • KPI Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports tracking key KPIs such as OEE, output rate, rejection rate, and machine utilisation. Highlight deviations and escalate where necessary.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Take charge of maintenance planning and scheduling across the shopfloor, coordinating with maintenance technicians to ensure preventive maintenance (PM) activities are carried out on time and equipment downtime is minimised.
  • Maintenance Performance Tracking: Monitor and track maintenance KPIs including Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and PM compliance rate. Analyse breakdown trends and coordinate corrective actions with the maintenance team.
  • IWS Deployment & Facilitation: Drive the implementation and embedding of the Integrated Work System (IWS) framework across the shopfloor. Champion IWS standards including Daily Direction Setting (DDS), Loss Analysis, and Focused Improvement (FI) routines, working closely with line leaders and operators to build capability and sustain IWS practices.
  • Shopfloor Engagement & IWS Culture Building: Coach and support shopfloor teams on IWS tools and mindset. Conduct regular audits and observations to assess IWS adherence, identify gaps, and implement corrective action plans to progressively advance IWS maturity across the facility.
  • Data Integrity & System Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date production databases and records. Ensure all data inputs from the shopfloor are timely, consistent, and aligned with company reporting standards and ERP/MES systems where applicable.
  • Continuous Improvement Support: Use production data to identify and prioritise improvement opportunities. Support and participate in Focused Improvement (FI) projects, 5S initiatives, and waste elimination activities on the shopfloor.
  • Cross-functional Coordination: Liaise with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to ensure smooth data flow and alignment on operational priorities. Escalate production anomalies and support resolution of issues impacting output or quality.


REQUIREMENT:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum2–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with exposure to data analysis or operations reporting.
  • Proficient in data consolidation and analysis tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or equivalent). Experience working with production data, MES, or ERP systems is an advantage. (Packaging, Printing, or FMCG industry experience is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and data accuracy
  • Experience in or exposure to maintenance coordination, including PM scheduling and breakdown tracking in a manufacturing environment
  • Abilityto work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with shopfloor operators, supervisors, and management.
  • Experience in or exposure to Continuous Improvement Methodology and IWS/TPM deployment on the shopfloor (e.g. IWS, TPM, 6 Sigma).Willingness to champion IWS practices and drive shopfloor engagement.
