Production Supervisor (Chemial)-Tuas

Overview

Responsiblefor overseeing daily manufacturing operations, including chemical productionand spent chemical distillation, to ensure safe, efficient, and high-qualityproduction.

Leads theproduction team, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, andmeets production targets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production operators, including training, coaching, and performance management.
• Coordinate production schedules with Production Planning and ensure timely raw material supply with Warehouse.
• Oversee daily operations across solvent, acid, distillation, and remote acid production facilities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and ISO standards; support audits and corrective actions.
• Work with Engineering, QA, Maintenance, Procurement, and Logistics to optimize production and minimize downtime.
• Monitor production KPIs, costs, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Support investigations, 8D and MOC reports, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare production reports and presentations using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Manage indirect production activities, including waste management, packaging, dip-tube cleaning, and small projects.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Deputy Plant Manager.

Requirements

Diploma orDegree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or arelated field (preferred).

Minimum 5years' production supervisory experience in the chemical, petrochemical, ormanufacturing industry.

Strongknowledge of chemical manufacturing, safety regulations, and production bestpractices.

Goodorganizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.

Relevantwarehousing or logistics experience may be considered in lieu of academicqualifications.

Able towear PPE, respond to workplace emergencies, and work in environments withhazardous chemicals.
