Project & Site Engineer

We are a Singapore-based company serving the semiconductor industry, looking for a motivated and experienced Project & Site Engineer for our Singapore operations. This person will have the opportunity to manage semiconductor projects from site planning and execution through testing and commissioning, with a focus on tool installation and systems integration (gas, exhaust, PCW, UPW, drainage, chemical). In this role, you will partner with senior engineers, project stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project milestones, deliverables, and schedule monitoring. You will also be frequently interfacing with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution, safety compliance, quality control, and timely completion.

Job functions:

The ideal candidate shall be able to perform the following:

• Conduct site planning, preparation, and coordination on progress and schedule to ensure timely project completion.

• Coordinate, liaise, and manage various project stakeholders (clients, contractors, vendors, consultants, internal teams) to achieve project milestones, deliverables, and schedule monitoring.

• Manage, control, and monitor all project activities during design phase, site execution phase, and testing & commissioning phase, including tool installation for gas, exhaust, PCW, UPW, drainage, and chemical systems.

• Prepare and create detailed work schedules, manpower plans, and resource planning documents (experience with Primavera P6 is a plus).

• Coordinate the safety management system on site, ensuring full compliance with safety standards and regulations (WSQ Risk Management, Work-At-Height, BCSS certifications are advantageous).

• Follow up on project progress and prepare regular progress reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for management and stakeholders.

• Prepare project documents for submission, including but not limited to:

  • Technical submittals for design approval

  • Method Statements (MS) / Safe Work Procedures (SWP)

  • Operation and Maintenance Manuals

  • Incident Reports with recommended solutions

  • As-built drawings (using AutoCAD)

• Implement quality control procedures by verifying materials and workmanship against project specifications, conducting inspections, and arranging required tests to ensure compliance.

• Perform all other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.

Job Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

• Familiarity with the semiconductor industry is required, with direct experience in tool installation and systems hookup (gas, exhaust, PCW, UPW, drainage, chemical) being a strong advantage.

• QA/QC background will be an advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Familiar with AutoCAD software (experience with Solidworks is a plus).

• Experience with project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6) is an advantage.

• Independent, problem-solving, multi-tasking team player with good social and communication skills.

• Good command of Mandarin language (spoken and written) is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and vendors.

• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., Work-At-Height for Supervisors, WSQ Risk Management, Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course) are advantageous.
