Project Manager (Civil Engineering)

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure and construction projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, execution, budget management, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, implementation, execution, monitoring, and successful completion of civil engineering projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets, schedules, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
• Monitor project expenditures, manage project costs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Review contract documents, engineering drawings, and project specifications to ensure smooth project execution.
• Liaise and negotiate effectively with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on technical, contractual, and operational matters.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary to achieve project objectives.
• Drive productivity improvements and recommend enhancements to project delivery processes.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), environmental regulations, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Prepare and review monthly project progress reports, claims, and management updates.
• Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Define clear project objectives, responsibilities, deliverables, and timelines for all project team members.
• Ensure all site activities are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Degree recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore will be an advantage.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant project management experience within Singapore's construction and civil engineering industry.
• Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
• Must have successfully completed at least one full project lifecycle with a project value exceeding SGD 50 million.
• Experience in LTA and/or PUB projects will be highly advantageous.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to manage multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent planning, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates available on short notice will have an advantage.
