Projects Commissioning Associate Director

Reporting to the Senior Director of Commissioning, this role will supportthe project team during pre-construction and construction to ensure allcommissioning standards are applied and provide solutions or workarounds whenrequired and assist the procurement of all long lead equipment (LLE). Overseatravels are required as this role include on-site attendances.

This role will also support the Operations team in customer fit-out works,planned maintenance and equipment replacement works.

This role will also assist the Commissioning Senior Director in updatingand governance of commissioning specifications / requirements for the APACregion as well as providing factory verifications / witnessing. This role shallalso include project Commissioning Agent selection and management.

Working with the Construction Development team from inception, duediligence, and Basis of Design (BOD) creation to successful close-out andsupport the customer technical team on all commissioning enquiries to ensurecustomer commissioning requirements are met.

Keyresponsibilities:

·       Ensureall equipment installed during construction is tested in accordance with thecommissioning specifications and meets MEP design specifications

·       Leadthe commissioning team on-site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, andoperational standards

·       Interfacewith construction, engineering, procurement, and client teams to ensure asmooth transition from construction to commissioning and into operations

·       Assistin the development of Commissioning standards and requirements for DE,capturing the testing requirement/procedure for the Data center build. 

·       Ensuretransparency and communication of project delivery timeliness and that qualitymeets the Company’s design and commissioning standards

·       Ensuresbest practices, continuous improvement, maximization of opportunities and riskmanagement processes are put in place to safeguard the commercial interests ofthe company

·       Assistin developing construction change management and scope management

·       Providecommissioning schedule oversight during construction phases

·       Workwith Commissioning Agents at APAC portfolio level for compliance andconsistency

·       CommissioningAgent selections/awards for construction projects

·       Developand manage internal commissioning tracking tools

·       Consistentreporting to senior leadership and project stakeholders

Thesuccessful candidate:

·     Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relateddiscipline

·    12 years+ of relevantprofessional and project delivery experiences in APAC  

·    Subject matter expert knowledgeof data center cost and commercials, construction capital projects strategy andsupply chain

·    Strong knowledge in LiquidCooling solutions

·    Willingness to Travel as Needed

·    Strong MS Excel, Words, Project andPowerPoint skills

·    Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-makingskills

·    Flexible, agile, and forwardthinker who thrives on continuous change of direction

Independent decision-maker whotakes communicates their own ownership and accountability

Knowledge of financial aspects ofcontracting business and program build reporting
