QA Engineer (QC / Quality)

Company Overview

Our client is a leading organisation specialised in developing Semiconductor machines. They are currently seeking for a QA Engineer (QC) to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all QA and QC functions to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards
• Coordinate and ensure timely response and closure of Corrective Action Reports (CARs) to resolve quality issues
• Review, update, and improve QA/QC processes, systems, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that beyond basic compliance requirements
• Lead efforts to improve quality across the supply chain through supplier quality audits, qualification, and re-certification
• Support supply chain development by managing vendor quality and conducting site assessments
• Lead and guide a small team of Incoming Quality Control (IQC) personnel in daily inspection operations
• Oversee First Article Inspection (FAI), parts inspection, and vendor qualification processes to ensure product conformity
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve supplier quality and enforce quality standards
• Monitor and drive continuous improvement of vendor performance to maintain high-quality supply chain standards

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree, Diploma, or Nitec in Mechanical, Production, or Mechatronics Engineering
• 1 to 5 years of QA/QC experience in equipment manufacturing or high mix–low volume production environments.
• Proficient in metrology tools and techniques, including Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height & Depth Gauge, Profile Projector, Gauge Block, and Smart Scope
• Skilled in problem-solving methodologies such as 8D discipline and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively within teams
