Quality Engineer (Tester, Manual)

About the Role

As a Quality Engineer (Manual Testing), you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to validate system functionality, identify defects, and contribute to continuous improvement in quality engineering practices. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise and influence the quality standards of client-facing deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed manual test cases based on business requirements and user stories

• Validate software functionality to ensure alignment with expected behavior and project objectives

• Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with developers for timely resolution

• Analyze test results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement

• Participate actively in team discussions, offering insights and solutions to testing-related challenges

• Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies, frameworks, and quality standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders

• Share knowledge and best practices to support team capability building and overall delivery excellence

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Proven experience in manual testing and software quality assurance

• Strong understanding of Software Quality Assurance (SQA) principles and testing methodologies

• Experience in test case design, defect tracking, and test execution

• Familiarity with quality control (QC) and application quality analysis processes

• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience in Agile or Scrum delivery environments

• Exposure to test management or defect tracking tools

• Basic understanding of automation testing concepts

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
