R&D Mechanical Architect (2 positions)

Our client is a leading European MNC in designing and developing high-tech systems(assembly equipment, machine control systems, medical equipment etc). The Singapore team houses the Development centre and we are looking for the following position of:

Mechanical Architect

Lead mechanical engineering projects for high-precision semiconductor and analytical systems. Act as the key engineering contact for Southeast Asia customers while coordinating with teams in India and the Netherlands on complex system development.

Responsibilities:

•       Lead mechanical design activities from concept to detailed engineering for precision equipment and instrumentation

•       Translate customer requirements into clear mechanical specifications, interface definitions, and design documentation

•       Drive design reviews and present technical decisions to customers and global stakeholders

•       Apply GD&T, DFM/DFA, and DFMEA practices to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and product quality

•       Coordinate project schedules, engineering resources and deliverables across international teams

•       Support customers during installation, commissioning, and service activities in the SEA region

•       Collaborate closely with teams in India and the Netherlands for technical alignment and execution

Requirements:

•       Master’sdegree in Mechanical Design Engineering with 8+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment, precision mechanics, or high-tech mechanical engineering

•       Past proven experience in gathering customers' requirements and translating system  requirements into mechanical designs and documentation

•       Proven experience leading concept development and design decision-making incross-functional environments

•       Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, and DFMEA methodologies

•       Excellent English communication skills for global collaboration

•       Experience working with distributed teams across India, Europe, or Southeast Asia

•       Willingness to travel internationally for customer support and engineering collaboration
