R&D Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, evaluate, and optimize treatment and handling processes for existing, new, and unknown waste streams, ensuring technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
2. Design and implement resource recovery processes from waste streams to enhance sustainability and value creation.
3. Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to understand waste sources, identify treatment and recovery opportunities, support commercialization, and execute pilot trials.
4. Identify, assess, and implement new technologies and processes, including collaboration with external partners (universities, research institutes, and technology providers).
5. Establish and continuously improve laboratory capabilities, including process development and analytical methods to support R&D activities.
6. Drive continuous improvement of existing operations through process optimization and introduction of alternative treatment methods.
7. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, documentation standards, and all safety, health, and environmental requirements; maintain proper laboratory housekeeping.
8. Support evaluation and development of handling procedures for high-risk and high-value waste streams.
9. Contribute to new business development, including identifying opportunities, supporting new projects, and participating in facility planning and operations.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies and proactively introduce relevant innovations into the company.

Requirements:

• Ph. D in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with more than 5 years of experience    in the area of specialty chemical manufacturing/applications, oil & gas or water treatment industry
• Result-oriented, able to achieve targets through individual hard work and team work
• Good analytical abilities and communication skills
• Role requires accurate colour differentiation for monitoring chemical reactions and product quality

Remuneration Package

• Basic: S$5,000 to S$5,500
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
• Company Transport / Transport Allowance $120 if candidate possess own vehicle to work
• Sign-on Bonus (Terms and Conditions apply)
