Regional Technical Engineer (APAC)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Regional Technical Engineer to support the technical strategy and product development of HVAC and cooling solutions across the APAC region. Working closely with global engineering teams, regional sales, manufacturing facilities, and key customers, you will provide technical expertise, drive product improvements, and support business growth within the Data Centre and critical infrastructure sectors. 

Key Responsibilities

Regional Technical & Product Support

• Support the development and execution of regional product strategies for HVAC and cooling solutions across the APAC market.

• Analyse market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to identify new product opportunities and recommend continuous product improvements.

• Monitor product performance and contribute to product lifecycle management, including product enhancement and end-of-life planning.

• Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to support product launches, technical positioning, pricing strategies, and business development initiatives.

Engineering & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the regional technical liaison between global product management, manufacturing sites, and APAC commercial teams.

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop and improve cooling products that meet regional standards and customer requirements.

• Provide technical guidance and engineering support to Application Engineers, Sales teams, Key Account Managers, consultants, contractors, and strategic customers.

• Support technical evaluations, feasibility studies, product validation, and engineering documentation for new and existing solutions.

• Build and manage technical relationships with OEM/ODM partners to support product development and regional portfolio expansion.

Technical Leadership

• Serve as the regional subject matter expert for HVAC and cooling technologies used in Data Centres and critical facilities.

• Prepare technical papers, feasibility studies, presentations, and training materials to support knowledge sharing and industry engagement.

• Develop technical sales tools, product documentation, competitor comparisons, and customer-facing materials to strengthen commercial activities.

• Provide technical support for products including:

  Air Handling Units (AHU)

  CRAH / CRAC Units

  Chillers and Chilled Water Systems

  ACMV Systems

  Liquid Cooling Solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Engineering, Product Engineering, Product Management, or a similar engineering role.

• Strong hands-on experience with HVAC, ACMV, cooling solutions, chillers, chilled water systems, or related mechanical systems is essential.

• Experience within Data Centre or mission-critical facility environments will be highly preferred.

• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering, refrigeration, hydraulics, controls, and sustainable cooling technologies.

• Proven experience working with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and product management.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and commercial audiences.

• Business-level English is required. Mandarin is an advantage to support communication with manufacturing teams and business partners in Mandarin-speaking markets.
