Resident Engineer (RE)

Job Summary

A Star Pacific is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer (RE) to lead site supervision of a construction project in Singapore, ensuring works are delivered in compliance with approved drawings, specifications and regulatory requirements, to the required standards of quality and safety, and on schedule.

Roles & Responsibilities

●      Lead and supervise site works to ensure execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications and regulatory requirements.

●      Lead and coordinate the site supervision team, including Resident Technical Officers (RTOs) and site staff.

●      Liaise and coordinate with the Client, Consultants, Contractors and Authorities to facilitate smooth project delivery.

●      Monitor site progress, work quality and compliance, and promptly highlight delays, risks and issues requiring attention.

●      Enforce compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements on site.

●      Review method statements, material submissions and shop drawings for technical accuracy and compliance.

●      Conduct site inspections and witness testing activities.

●      Prepare, verify and endorse site supervision, inspection and progress records.

●      Provide technical advice and resolve site-related issues to minimise disruption and maintain project momentum.

Requirements

●      Registered with IES/ACES as a Resident Engineer (RE), with a valid practising certificate and listed on the relevant RE registry.

●      Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Building Engineering, or a related discipline, from a recognised university.

●      At least 3 years of relevant site-supervision experience after obtaining the recognised degree.

●      Familiar with Singapore construction standards, the Building Control Act and Regulations, inspection procedures and authority requirements.

●      Strong leadership, coordination and communication skills, with good written and spoken English.
