Safety Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Coordinator to supervise and enforce workplace safety across building maintenance and construction sites. In this role, you will play a critical part in hazard identification, safety activity coordination, and the execution of corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Coordination & Supervision: Coordinate and supervise daily Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) activities across building maintenance and construction operations to maintain strict site safety compliance.

Hazard Identification & Risk Control: Address workplace safety, health, and environmental issues by systematically identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing immediate corrective and preventive actions.

Site Inspections & Specialized Oversight: Conduct regular site inspections, overseeing high-risk activities—including Work-at-Height, metal scaffolding operations, and lifting operations—to ensure full adherence to regulatory standards.

Requirements

Education: Diploma or WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH).

Certifications & Training:

Certificate in Safety Coordinator Training Course.

Managing Work at Height Certificate.

Supervision of Metal Scaffold Erection Course.

Lifting Supervisors' Safety Course.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building maintenance or construction site safety supervision.

Core Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of site safety regulations, risk management, and environmental control standards.

Strong observational, problem-solving, and hazard-mitigation skills.

Clear communication skills to deliver safety briefings and manage multi-disciplinary site teams.
