SALES & APPLICATION ENGINEER (Industrial automation)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation and application support to customers during the pre-sales process, helping identify suitable solutions based on their operational requirements.

• Deliver after-sales technical assistance, including troubleshooting, product support, and customer guidance to ensure optimal product performance.

• Promote company products through telemarketing, product demonstrations, exhibitions, and various marketing initiatives to generate business opportunities.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding customer needs and providing value-added support.

• Manage and expand existing customer accounts while identifying opportunities to increase sales and market penetration.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are addressed effectively and projects are executed successfully.

Requirements

• Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics/Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in engineering sales, technical sales, application engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role.

• Prior experience in Industrial automation equipment, instrumentation, flow measurement systems, flow meters, or industrial measurement solutions is highly preferred.

• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer applications and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Possession of a valid Class 3 Driving License and willingness to travel for customer visits when required.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.

• Product, application, and sales training will be provided to support professional development and success in the role.
