Job Description - Sales Engineer

Company Overview

Red Offshore Industries Pte Ltd is a leading offshore engineering solutions provider in Singapore and the region, serving oil and gas, marine, and renewable energy sectors with innovative, safe, and cost-effective products since 2013.

Job Summary

The Sales Engineer drives sales and business growth by developing client relationships and delivering technical expertise across interior design, HVAC, sewage treatment, marine equipment, and lighting in Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Southeast Asia to expand market presence and revenue
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships to enhance customer loyalty and secure repeat business
  • Conduct market research to analyze customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activities for strategic sales planning
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to effectively communicate solutions to clients
  • Provide expert technical advice and support on HVAC systems, sewage treatment plants, oily water separators, deck machineries, and marine lighting
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand and communicate product specifications and capabilities
  • Assist in customizing products to meet specific client requirements and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Oversee and coordinate product installation and system implementation to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve issues promptly
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and agreements to secure business deals
  • Track and report sales performance against targets to inform management decisions
  • Maintain accurate customer interaction and transaction records in the CRM system for effective sales management
  • Provide post-sales support to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and promote customer satisfaction
  • Collect and relay customer feedback to internal teams to drive continuous product and service improvements
  • Travel within the designated region to meet clients, manage projects, and represent the company at industry events and trade shows

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering or related technical sales roles
  • Sound technical knowledge in HVAC systems, sewage treatment plants, oily water separators, deck machineries, or marine lighting
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to travel within the Southeast Asian region as required

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
