Semiconductor System Installation Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install Ultra High Purity (UHP) gas piping systems and related mechanical equipment.
• Install gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes (VMB), pressure regulators, valves, filters, tubing, and other gas delivery components.
• Assemble and fit stainless steel tubing using approved installation procedures.
• Perform pressure testing, helium leak testing, purging, and commissioning of gas systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and installation layouts.
• Support orbital welding activities or perform orbital welding where qualified.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of semiconductor gas systems.
• Ensure installation work complies with engineering specifications, cleanroom requirements, and EHS regulations.
• Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, customers, and subcontractors during project execution.
• Prepare installation reports, testing records, and commissioning documentation.
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with all workplace safety procedures.

Requirements

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in semiconductor gas system installation, industrial piping installation, or mechanical installation.
• Experience working in semiconductor fabs or cleanroom environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of UHP gas delivery systems and semiconductor process utilities is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with stainless steel tube installation and orbital welding is preferred.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Willing to work at customer project sites and perform overtime when required.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
