About the Role

As a Senior Application Engineer / Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and application support, collaborating with customers and partners to deliver practical engineering solutions and drive Industry 4.0 initiatives from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities

Technical Solutions & Application Engineering

• Develop and propose technical solutions tailored to customer requirements to address operational challenges
• Conduct feasibility studies and application assessments to validate solution viability
• Provide technical consultation and ongoing support to customers and internal teams for effective solution deployment
• Design and develop application solutions that deliver measurable value to customers
• Deliver proof-of-concept demonstrations to secure project opportunities and build customer confidence

Project Management & Implementation

• Manage engineering projects from initial planning through successful completion, ensuring alignment with customer needs
• Coordinate activities with system integrators, contractors, and project stakeholders to maintain project momentum
• Conduct testing, commissioning, acceptance testing, and system buy-offs to ensure quality and compliance
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and meet defined customer requirements
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation and technical reports for transparency and knowledge sharing

Product Development & Technical Support

• Perform product testing and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain product reliability
• Investigate technical problems and conduct root cause analysis to identify corrective actions
• Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures to improve product performance
• Support warranty claims and product quality investigations to uphold customer satisfaction
• Provide technical feedback to manufacturers and principals to influence product improvements

Customer Engagement & Business Development

• Analyze customer operational challenges and anticipate future needs to tailor solutions
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate and engage customers
• Support sales teams by providing technical materials and application expertise to enhance sales effectiveness
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, industry trends, and emerging technologies to inform strategy
• Contribute to business growth by developing innovative solutions and fostering strong customer relationships

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Conduct product and system training sessions for customers and internal stakeholders to build technical competence
• Share technical knowledge and best practices across teams to enhance collective expertise
• Mentor junior engineers and provide on-the-job guidance to support professional development

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for Application Engineer positions.
• Candidates with 5 years or more relevant experience may be considered for Senior Engineer positions.

Technical Skills Competencies

• Knowledge of industrial control systems, automation technologies, and circuit analysis to support solution design
• Understanding of PLC programming and industrial communication systems for system integration
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, AI, Cybersecurity, and Smart Manufacturing solutions to drive innovation
• Experience in system integration, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning to ensure successful project delivery
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements to develop effective solutions
• Involvement in implementing sustainability practices aligned with corporate sustainability strategy
• Programming knowledge in IEC61131 standards (LD, ST, FB, SFC) to enhance automation programming capabilities
• Experience in industrial automation projects and system integration to support complex implementations
• Technical presentation and customer engagement skills to effectively communicate solutions
• Risk management and project coordination experience to mitigate project risks and ensure smooth execution
