Senior Department Manager, Plant Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

Management and upkeep of Plant Facility, Engineering Service, Industrial Engineering and Environmental.

1.     Training

To develop staffs capability to their fullest potential by reviewing, planning and recommending related training programmes.

2.     Cultivation of Team Spirit

To cultivate team spirit, open communication, and innovation among staffs. With this, staffs will be motivated to produce good results – in term of system performance and cost saving.

3.     Budget Control

To ensure spending are within the allocated budget.

4.     To identify and implement potential areas for development

●     Systems improvement work

●      New technology

5.     Water & Electricity Conservation / Utilization.

To manage the above program through:

●      awareness training

●      formulate data bank for analysis and decision making

●      setting water targets for equipment

●      price negotiation for electrical rates

●      water recycling

●      waste minimization

• Responsibilities with respect to significant aspects related link to operational control in company wide.

• Manage the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. (Environmental Management Representative – EMR)

• Manage the Hazardous Substances Permit ( Hazardous substances License Holder)

• Liaise with consultants on new requirements / projects.

• To manage all investment projects from initiation to commissioning of systems

• Any other work as assigned by the Plant Manager
  

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering

• Minimum 10 years with Management experience

• Experience in PCB manufacturing environment will be added advantage.

• In-depth knowledge of Plant Facility, Engineering Service, Industrial Engineering, and Environmental Management

• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and Hazardous Substances Permit management.

• Proven expertise in budget control, planning, and preventive maintenance control.

• Technical knowledge of building automation control/maintenance, air-conditioning, compressor systems, and water & waste-water treatment.

• Experience in water and electricity conservation/utilization programs, including data analysis, target setting, water recycling, and waste minimization.

• Excellent communication, inter-personal, coaching, and mentoring skills for staff development and team cultivation.

• Experience in managing investment projects from initiation to commissioning and liaising with external consultants.
