Senior Distributed Platform Engineer (up to $15,000 base Bonus and more)

Responsibilities

• Architect and build distributed systems for real-time data streaming, telemetry, and large-scale compute orchestration
• Design and scale cloud simulation infrastructure and training pipelines
• Build reliable, fault-tolerant backend services that operate under production constraints
• Optimise system performance, latency, and throughput across distributed clusters
• Collaborate with research and product teams to translate requirements into scalable system designs
• Own the reliability and operational health of the systems you build

Requirements

Must-Have:

• 7+ years of experience in distributed systems engineering
• Proven track record working on a tech stack that has shipped to market (not just internal tooling or prototypes)
• Strong proficiency in at least two of: Go, Rust, C++, Python
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, gRPC, and distributed messaging systems (e.g. Kafka)
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure, object storage, and compute orchestration (e.g. Ray)
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to operate independently

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with GPU cluster management or ML training infrastructure
• Background in real-time systems or simulation infrastructure
• Familiarity with distributed storage systems or data lake architectures
• Experience scaling systems from early-stage to production at a startup or growth-stage company
