Senior E&I Engineer

Job Description

Technical Leadership and governance

• Acts as the Senior technical Authority for all E&I matters of Keppel Seghers (KS) scope on site.
• Ensures strict adherence to KS engineering standards, specifications and commissioning methodologies
• Provides expert interpretation of E&I engineering documents and ensures alignement across all stakeholders
• Represents KS in E&I technical discussions with client, authorities and partners
• Experience with managing teams of 10+ engineers/technicians on site

E&I installation

• Oversees and validates the quality of the E&I installations, ensuring compliance with KS procedures, international standards and functional safety principles
• Takes part of multi-disciplinary erection completion walkdowns: Define, prioritize and close punch items
• Ensures the site E&I deviations, non-conformities are properly assessed, documented and approved
• Ensures red-lining of documents is performed for as built documentation

Pre-commissioning

• Leads the pre-commissioning of instruments, valves, motors, analyzers including loop checks, I/O tests, interlocks, and functional testing
• Sets daily / weekly priorities for contractor teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation and progress
• Reviews pre-commissioniong procedures, checklists and vendor documentation
• Provides expert trouble-shooting and root cause analysis (RCA)

Commissioning

• Serves as a senior member of the commissioning team during cold and hot commissioning
• Leads fault-finding, parametrization, calibration and optimization of E&I systems
• Oversees the commissioning of the E&I scope of vendor packages

Plant Testing

• Ensures the E&I prerequisites for performance testing are met and documented
• Leads E&I support during the performance testing
• Assists fine tuning activities with KS process engineers to increase plant performance

Safety

• Champions a strong safety culture across all E&I activities
• Enforces PTW and LOTO compliance and ensures high risk activities are properly managed
• Supports preparation and review of RAMS for E&I related activities
• Escalates delays or resource gaps
• Supports time and cost impact related to claims, changes or technical deviations
• Contributes to lessons learned and continuous improvement of KS commissioning procedures
• Contributes to the assessment of the risk register and mitigation measures

Stakeholder management and communication

• Acts as the E&I interface with the client, contractors and KSBE-office
• Responds to technical queries and ensures timely, accurate and consistent communication
• Provides input for progress tracking, reporting

Job Requirements

• Miniumum 10 years of experience in a senior E&I commissioning role of - Waste to Energy (WTE) plants - Biomass plants - Power plants
• Strong hands-on site experience (majority of experience in site execution, not only in office)
• Proven experience in leading E&I teams and managing complex commissioning scopes
• Deep expertise in instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, load cells, analyzers and CEMS systems (installation, commissioning, calibration, trouble-shooting)
• Experience with industrial communication platforms (HART, Modbus, Profibus or equivalent)
• Strong familiarity with Keppel Seghers engineering standards, documentation and commissioning workflows
