Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of critical electrical systems within our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and team leadership experience to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and lighting systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
• Investigate electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and training to technicians, staff, and clients on electrical system operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to support facility operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of approximately 10 workers, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations, industry standards, and workplace safety requirements.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Facilities, Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in fire protection or facilities management, with a focus on electrical systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, principles, codes, and standards.
• Experience managing and leading a team of technicians
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and develop creative solutions
