Senior/ Engineer, Infra/ Tunnel/ Bridge

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

By utilizing new and unique approaches, the Senior Engineer plans and directs research or development work on complex projects, along with engaging various parties in design and development. Costs and recommendations of new machinery and components also involve part of the job scope.

The Senior Engineer makes sure that the assembling and constructing structural elements of a building so that they support and transmit applied loads safely to the ground without exceeding the allowable stresses in the members.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES       

· Undertake detailed design in one or more of the following field of expertise: Bridge/ tunnel, underground excavation and tunneling work

· Execution of projects and liaison with the client, client's consultants, contractor and authorities to provide technical support for design

· Checker to obtain approval of design and drawings

· Analysis of structural components using various engineering software

· Manage the projects to ensure quality work, delivery of projects on time and within budget

· Review design and execute the design works to ensure its quality and submission deadlines are met

· Provide guidance to the junior staff

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or its equivalent that is recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Good exposure in the analysis and design of geotechnical works, concrete structures, steel structures, civil works, or soil-structure interactions
• Good knowledge of the various engineering design software and analytical tools
• Involved in project management with design coordination experience will be considered as well
